Frequently Asked Questions About Andaman Holidays

Get honest answers to common questions travelers have about planning their Andaman holiday

Great question for first-timers! The sweet spot for your Andaman holiday is definitely between October and May. During these months, you'll get sunny days perfect for beach hopping and water activities. If you want to avoid crowds, November and February are fantastic - the weather is just right, not too hot, not too rainy. Personally, I'd suggest avoiding June to September if water sports are important to you, as the seas can get rough. But hey, if you don't mind occasional showers and want cheaper rates, the monsoon has its own charm too!

Don't worry, it's simpler than it sounds! If you're an Indian citizen, just bring your regular photo ID (Aadhar card, voter ID, or passport works). No special permits needed at all! For international travelers, yes, you'll need a Restricted Area Permit (RAP), but here's the good news - you get it right at the Port Blair airport when you arrive. It takes about 30 minutes and costs around ₹500. We include assistance with this in all our holiday packages because we know paperwork is the last thing you want to stress about on vacation!

Transparency is important to us! Here's exactly what you get: All your hotel stays (we only work with verified properties), daily breakfast to start your day right, all transfers (airport to hotel and back), ferry tickets between islands (this is a big one - ferries can be tricky to book yourself), and guided sightseeing as per your itinerary. What's not included? Your flights to/from Andaman, most lunches and dinners (unless specified), any personal shopping or extra activities you choose on the spot, and travel insurance (which we highly recommend). No surprises, promise!

If you're tight on time, a 4-night, 5-day holiday package is your best bet. This lets you experience Port Blair's history (Cellular Jail is a must-see) and spend quality time on Havelock Island's famous beaches. You'll get a good taste of Andaman without feeling rushed. But honestly? If you can squeeze in 6-7 days, you'll thank yourself. The extra days let you add Neil Island (super peaceful) and actually relax on those gorgeous beaches instead of just snapping photos and running to the next spot. Vacation should feel like vacation, right?

Absolutely! Andaman is one of the safest places I've traveled to in India. The locals are genuinely friendly and the crime rate is very low. That said, here are my pro-tips for female travelers: Stick to well-known beaches during daylight, avoid isolated areas after dark (common sense anywhere, really), choose hotels with good reviews from other female travelers, and keep our local contact number handy (we're here 24/7). Many of our guests are solo female travelers or groups of friends, and they all rave about how safe and welcoming Andaman feels. You'll love it!

That's exactly what we specialize in! Multi-generational family holidays need special planning. Tell us: What are your parents' mobility levels? How old are the kids? Any dietary restrictions? We'll adjust everything - slower pace, family-friendly activities (kids love the glass-bottom boat!), hotels with elevators and ground-floor rooms if needed, vehicles with easy access, you name it. We recently planned a trip for a family with an 80-year-old grandmother and 6-year-old twins - different interests, different energy levels, but everyone had a blast. That's the beauty of a custom holiday package!

Life happens, we get it! Our policy is pretty traveler-friendly: Cancel more than 30 days out and you get a full refund (minus small bank charges). 15-30 days before gives you 75% back. 7-14 days is 50%. Honestly, we'd rather help you reschedule than cancel - so if something comes up, just talk to us first. We're usually able to shift dates or adjust plans. The only time we can't refund is within 7 days because by then we've already paid hotels and ferry companies. Pro tip: Consider travel insurance - it's affordable and gives you peace of mind!

You'd be surprised how much there is beyond the water! History buffs love the Cellular Jail light and sound show (seriously moving experience). Nature lovers can explore mangrove forests by kayak (calm waters, no swimming needed). There's island hopping, photography tours (sunsets here are unreal!), local market visits, and amazing seafood even if you don't catch it yourself. For a unique experience, try a village tour to see how the local communities live. And let's not forget just relaxing on those white-sand beaches with a good book - sometimes the best holiday activity is doing nothing at all!
